Urban regeneration in public spaces to improve the quality of life in Villa María del Triunfo

The article presents a diagnosis of the existing gap in public spaces in the district of Villa María del Triunfo, identifying it as a social problem that affects the quality of life. The objective of the study is to analyze the impact of urban regeneration in public spaces to improve the quality of life in Villa María del Triunfo, taking as reference successful interventions in similar contexts, in addition, it is in tune with ODS 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. The methodology was based on a documentary review of articles published between 2020 and 2024, extracted from databases such as Springer, Redalyc, Dialnet, among others. The results were 7 cases that demonstrate improvements in social cohesion and quality of life, confirming the viability of applying similar strategies in Villa María del Triunfo. Concluding, the urban regeneration of public spaces is crucial to improve the quality of life, promote social cohesion, strengthen community identity and promote integration with the urban environment.
